Lukashenko to local vertical heads: be masters on your land, today’s situation is military

Addressing the heads of local executive and administrative bodies, Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasised, “Be masters on your land! Well, I am so harsh about this issue, because the situation is military today. Our people should be grateful to our authorities – it’s not about me but of those in power – for the fact that we are not fighting now. We are still keeping our ground, but you can see what is happening around us. As soon as problems emerge domestically, they will make them stronger, they will scale these problems. They are now around Belarus like hungry snakes ready to rush here. Therefore, let's make decisions and resolve the issues that are apparent today.”
The President called on heads of district and regional authorities to strictly monitor the personnel issues in their areas and once again reminded them that, when choosing a specialty and university, young people should be clearly aware that they will need to work in their specialty after graduation.
