The Head of State emphasised that the present and future of Belarus largely depend on young people. Addressing the graduates, he said, “It is very important that you are not only good specialists, but also true patriots, socially mature and spiritually wealthy people who could be trusted with the fate of our Belarus. The world is huge, but we have only one Belarus. Never forget your Motherland. Cherish and be careful to the peaceful sky over our country. This is the most precious heritage that we, the older generation, have managed to pass on to you.”

The President expressed special gratitude to teachers for educating young people who are devoted to their native country, respect the traditions and protect the values of the Belarusian nation, “The work of a teacher is important, and it is very challengeable. You have injected your pedagogical talent and significant spiritual forces into each student. Thank you, our respected teachers.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated all graduates of Belarusian universities on the end of the academic year and wished that the path they choose would lead them to success.
