Kochanova at Youth House opening: all doors open for young people, all conditions created for their realisation

All doors are open for young people, and all necessary conditions have been created for their development — as noted by the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic, the authorised representative of the President in Minsk, Natalya Kochanova, at today’s opening of the Youth House in the Belarusian capital

“This is a momentous occasion for the capital. For the first time, the youth of the city have a place to call their own. I want to express my gratitude to the city authorities for bringing this idea into life. The youth are incredibly important to us; they represent our future. This has always been the case, it is currently true, and it will continue to be so,” the Speaker of the Council of the Republic stated.

Ms. Kochanova noted that the President pays great attention to youth policy. According to her, there are approximately 50 laws in the country that govern youth-related activities, and a specific article addressing youth has been added to the Constitution

“Youth is a vital asset for every country. The President has stated that the next five years will be the time of youth. This is your moment. Young people —smart, creative, and talented — are stepping in to take our place. We are sincerely glad that today we all live together in our beautiful and free country, in our native Belarus. All doors are open for young people, and all necessary conditions have been created for your development. You can pursue your studies, acquire excellent skills in fields you enjoy, work, and contribute to the prosperity of our native, beloved Belarus,” Ms. Kochanova said.

The Speaker of the Council of the Republic recalled that the country recently celebrated the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, and tomorrow it will celebrate the main holiday: Independence Day.

“You have a rich legacy to uphold. Following the example of your heroic ancestors — those who liberated our country during the Great Patriotic War, rebuilt it after the war, and shaped our independent nation with their intellect, skills, and creativity — it’s your responsibility to take care of the country. Do everything to ensure peace and tranquillity on our land. The future lies in your hands.”
