MEP called on Germany to resume using Nord Stream
Tomasz Froelich, a member of the Alternative for Germany party, said that Germany should be able to use all energy sources again, including through Nord Stream, RIA Novosti reports
Tomasz Froelich noted that Germany should be able to use all energy sources again: this includes restarting nuclear power, using domestic brown coal, and reopening the Nord Stream gas pipeline to import natural gas. He added that an energy partnership with Turkiye through new gas pipelines is also an option. The MEP asserts that the adoption of renewable energy sources should only occur when it is technically and financially feasible.
According to earlier reports by Reuters, which cited its own sources, the German government intends to amend the law to stop future Nord Stream 2 exploitation.
